Cameron Diaz and Yankee great Alex Rodriguez have been dating lately, but have gone to great lengths to avoid being photographed together.

Sunday night the couple partied at Jay-Z‘s 40/40 club for CC Sabathia‘s birthday party. Cameron played it cool hanging with the Yankee wives on one side of the room while A-Rod hung with the guys on the other.

Page Six reports the couple later exited through a back door and made their way to a nearby heliport.

Diaz has a very different approach from Rodriguez’s last girlfriend, clingy Kate Hudson. Kate seemed to enjoy the spotlight, sitting right down front at Yankee games.
