Hollywood Mega-Couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are suing tabloid News Of The World over allegations it published about their relationship.

The story published on January 24 detailed how they would divide their massive wealth and custody of their children. But Pitt and Jolie say none of it was true and now they’re suing the newspaper for libel.

Reuters quotes Keith Schilling of the law firm representing Pitt and Jolie in the suit as saying News of the World failed to respond to the couple’s “reasonable demands” for a retraction of the story and apology “for these false and intrusive allegations which have now been widely republished by mainstream news outlets.

It’s nothing new to have rumors surfacing about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt splitting up.  That’s the gasoline that runs the tabloid magazines’ engines.  And a few days ago, the ENQUIRER posted stories citing inside sources with knowledge that the couple had signed separation documents and are splitting up.

Now (as expected) the response from other sources close to the Pitt/Jolie camp is “Everything is fine”, according to PEOPLE magazine.  Who knows which is the reality?

We wish them the best of luck and hope those kids can have a well-adjusted childhood with all of the craziness that swirls around high-profile celebrities like Pitt and Jolie.

It seems that one of the biggest Hollywood couples in recent history is coming to an end.  The romance between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has survived for five years, but now seem to be drawing to a close.

Sources tell the UK’s News Of The World that they have drawn up documents to legally separate, negotiating the split of their estimated 300 million dollar fortune and custody of their children.

The source claims, “The document was signed in early January. Both Brad and Angelina had signed it.

“The contract was like a tailor-made version of a pre-nuptial agreement except for an unmarried couple’s split.

“It seemed clear they want the world to know they’ll both play a part in the upbringing of the children.
