The star of Dexter, Michael C. Hall, was back to work yesterday on a film set in New York City. He was spotted filming scenes with Lucy Liu on the set of East Fifth Bliss. Hall took a break from acting for a few months to battle cancer. He’s been sprouting lots of hair over the last couple of months, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for the film.  Michael is seen in the photo wearing a very expensive wig, crafted from human hair. One year ago, Michael C. Hall was a newlywed.  The star of the Showtime series Dexter had married his co-star, Jennifer Carpenter, 30, and life was beautiful.  And on Sunday night, Hall, 38, celebrated winning a Golden Globe award in Los Angeles with his co-star wife by his side.

But in between those two events, Michael C. Hall has been fighting a battle.  On January 13th, Hall’s spokesman released a statement revealing that he had been diagnosed with the “treatable and curable condition”, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is currently in remission.

Hall was previously married to actress Amy Spanger from 2002 until 2007.  Hall and Carpenter surprised Dexter fans when they eloped on New Year’s Eve 2009.
